Cello Lessons in Central Michigan

Technique is the process of releasing smaller and smaller points of tension - Janos Starker
Although I teach at the University level (Central Michigan University), I give lessons to cellists of all ages. Currently, my private students range in age from six years old to adult and are from Mt. Pleasant, Midland, Bay City, Saginaw, and Clare. If you are interested in individual instruction, please contact me.

My pre-college class gives recitals twice a year and I invite an outside cello teacher every year to give a master class. Last year I combined my pre-college and CMU students in a joint cello choir concert in Midland.

Many of my students have gone on to prestigious music schools such as the Hartt School, Eastman, Cincinnati Conservatory, North Carolina School of the Arts, Florida State University, Michigan State University, Northwestern, and the University of Wisconsin.

Since I work at CMU in Mount Pleasant and live in Midland, I am able to give lessons in both locations.

Send me an email if you would like more information.

In the meantime, feel free to browse my site.
